A native-Hawaiian, Captain Jim spent much of the 1990's as a one-man trader in the South Pacific and researcher of Polynesian migrations and history. He has an abiding love for Hawaiian music and devotes much of his musical and composing talents to telling the story of the Hawaiian experience.
